Wisconsin Woman Relieved After Finding Missing Yarn

(WAUWATOSA) A mother of one from the northwest side of this Milwaukee suburb expressed relief late last night, after confirming she hadn't, in fact, lost her mind. Four skeins of yarn in yellow, green, pink and blue baby shades were recovered from a box in the basement after a brief search.

"I had been hunting for the yarn for about a week," she said. "I knew I bought the yarn a little over nine years ago when my nephew Matt was born. I wanted to make him a baby blanket. But after a couple of weeks of trying, I figured out I didn't know how to crochet after all."

The yarn has been carted back and forth to three different apartments and now a house in the time the woman has lived in Wisconsin. Other various craft project leftovers were also discovered.

The woman's husband actually hoped the search would take longer.
"I was hoping that the end result would be her cleaning out some of the junk in the basement," he said. "She's got boxes from college that she still hasn't unpacked!"

The woman also purchased four new skeins of yarn yesterday evening. She plans to purchase a clear plastic tub with a lid to store all the yarn. "My ultimate goal is to become a knitting/crocheting machine," she announced.
