I haven't posted any of Alex's funny sayings lately. There have been some good one's (and one slightly disturbing one) so I thought I'd share.
"God is watching when we're bad."
-Ahhh... gotta love the Catholic school influence! At least I know it's sinking in!
"My old room just feels good."
-After being moved back to his old toddler bed in his old room while my parents were visiting. I tried to explain to him that this is how I feel when I sleep in my old room at Grandma and Grandpa's. Not sure it sunk in.
"You and daddy are pals, huh?" -Mom
"You said it!" -Alex
-Nothing like a little Daddy worship from his number one pal!
"I don't need to finish these pretzels. I'm Batman."
-Hmm....
After sleeping through 75% of church... picks up sleepy head and says "Was I a good boy?"
-yes, by default you were a good boy. But I'll take what I can get.
"When the baby pops out of your tummy, your belly will explode. I think there might be some blood too."
-Umm... which of the little friends do I have to thank for this image??? We haven't discussed where babies come from or how they get out, except to say that we'll need to go to the hospital to get the baby out!

Scary. Whatever happened to "The Stork will bring the baby?" Kids know so much these days!
The comment about his room reminds me of something my niece said recently. She went to her grandparents' for the week and when she came back, she told my sister that she was worried she'd forget what her room looked like but it was just like she remembered.
"I'm Batman!" so funny.
I told my 3 year old he was getting big, and he said, "so I can drink wine?"
ahem.
26 years ago I told my mother that her stomach would explode so the baby could get out--and yes, one of my preschool friends had been the source of the misinformation.
