Missing the Rush

The NIU shooting story caught my attention today, for obvious reasons. It's a sad story, but it made me really miss news for a brief moment. When there are big breaking national stories like that, newsrooms have access to many different wires services that provide you with tons of information. Not being able to access that information was frustrating today. Since Illinois is my home state I was particularly interested in the story. It really made me miss my old job, if only for a minute.
