My hometown, Galesburg, IL, has suffered tremendous economic losses over the past 20 years. Companies have shuttered, moving jobs to Mexico. There's some serious "brain drain" because there are not enough jobs for all the kids who go off to college.
Reader's Digest is holding a contest and will feature various towns in their magazine and these towns could get a share of $5 million.
My hometown is currently ranked #40!! But there's still a week left in the contest. We want to get up into the top 10... but we need all the help we can get.
